Winding Ivy is an interior design firm in Lexington, South Carolina, founded in 2021 by Sariah "Ry" Alexander. Ry didn't come to design in a straight line. She and her husband, Mike, spent years pouring their creativity into renovating spaces that weren't their own. Then they bought their first home, the most dilapidated house in a well-established neighborhood, with little more than a paintbrush, a crowbar, and a modest budget. Little by little, it became the home they'd dreamed of, and that house was the beginning of Winding Ivy.
Today Ry, a self-taught designer, works with her design assistant, Abi, while Mike handles IT operations for the website and provides field support. Winding Ivy serves clients across the Midlands and offers virtual design for clients in NC, GA, and FL. Ry's style is timeless with a touch of maximalism: vintage, moody, and layered, mixing old with new.
